KOTA KINABALU: B.Grimm Power shares a common goal with the Sabah government and communities through its ‘GreenLeap – Global and Green’ strategy.

This strategy consists of three pillars, said Nopadej Karnasuta, B.Grimm Power President of Thailand Malaysia Business and Energy and Industrial Solutions Business.

To begin with, he said they have introduced sustainable fuels to the world. Next is to increase the production of greener and cleaner energy with reliable power supplies. Finally, to develop advanced industrial solutions for end consumers.

For sustainable fuels, he said they have started importing gas into the country, combining it with the development of ammonia and green energy as part of technology development and years of R&D.

“In renewable energy, together with reliable partners, we need to develop not only generation sites but also ensure that we integrate them into the system through smart microgrids, transmission and distribution enhancement, and both software and hardware development,” he said.

“And we must ensure stability through battery storage systems, combined with reliable gas-to-power and green energy as part of an integrated solution.

“And lastly, for industrial solutions, we have developed technologies such as cooling systems, battery storage as a service, as well as modernised AI-driven technology like data centres, which can serve the community and support the modernisation of Sabah,” he said.

He said B.Grimm has been in this business for over 30 years, starting from gas-to-power for industrial customers.

“Ensuring cleaner and greener energy comes from the technology we have developed,” he said.

He added that they use the most modernised gas turbines and steam turbines to ensure the lowest greenhouse gas emissions.

“That is something that has been developed over time. And now we are also providing more green energy as part of the system.

“Over the past 10 years we have been developing solar farms, wind farms, floating solar and rooftop solar for the system and for communities.

“That has proven successful in terms of sustainable development. In terms of capacity, we have built up to 6,000 megawatts across 15 different countries,” he said.

This, he added, has supported both reliable power and greener energy, and there is more to come, including projects in Malaysia.

“We have already been part of development in a number of states, and we aim to support Sabah more in the future.

“The way B.Grimm does business, we always think first of how we can serve the community. Sabah has abundant resources, rich cultural diversity, and great people living together,” he said.

B.Grimm Power, sebuah konglomerat yang terkenal dengan inovasi dalam sektor tenaga, telah mengumumkan perancangan strategik untuk tahun 2025. Dengan peruntukan pelaburan bernilai 136 bilion baht, kumpulan ini berazam untuk menjadi pemimpin global dalam perniagaan tenaga bersih.

Menurut Dr. Harald Link, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Kumpulan, pelaburan besar-besaran ini adalah sebahagian daripada visi syarikat, “Memperkasa Komuniti Dunia dengan Kebaikan.” Langkah ini turut melibatkan pelancaran sektor perniagaan baharu, seperti Pusat Data, serta usaha mencapai kapasiti tenaga boleh diperbaharui sebanyak 10 gigawatt menjelang 2030.

Menurut kumpulan itu antara Strategi Utama Tahun 2025 adalah dengan Pengembangan Global dan Tenaga Boleh Diperbaharui dimana B.Grimm mensasarkan pengembangan agresif di pasaran antarabangsa seperti Korea Selatan, Jepun, Amerika Syarikat, dan Asia Tenggara, termasuk Malaysia. Dengan pendekatan “Net Zero” menjelang 2050, kumpulan ini menumpukan pada pelaburan dalam tenaga solar, angin, dan hidro.

Kumpulan itu juga akan melakukan Kerjasama Strategik dengan Pusat Data dimana Perkongsian dengan kawasan perindustrian seperti Amata di Chonburi, Thailand, bertujuan untuk membekalkan tenaga hijau kepada pusat data. Perjanjian pembelian tenaga sebanyak 310 megawatt sedang dirundingkan.

Turut menjadi tumpuan adalah Pengurusan Modal yang Cekap dan Mampan dimana Lebih 85% daripada pelaburan akan disalurkan ke projek tenaga boleh diperbaharui, menjadikan kumpulan ini lebih mesra alam. Modal diperoleh melalui aliran tunai operasi, bon, dan kerjasama strategik.

Sementara itu Menurut sumber industri, Malaysia turut dijadikan sebahagian daripada rancangan pengembangannya di Asia Tenggara, B.Grimm dijangka turut akan melabur sekitar USD 400 Milionatau bersamaan RM 2 bilion di Wilayah Sabah. Pelaburan ini dijangka menyokong pembangunan tenaga bersih di wilayah tersebut, sejajar dengan matlamat global syarikat.

“Pengembangan kami di Asia dan pasaran global lain mencerminkan komitmen terhadap pertumbuhan mampan dan kestabilan jangka panjang,” kata Dr. Harald Link.
