SUKAU: A total of 56 residents from Kampung Tidung II and Kampung Dagat received their native land titles after waiting for three decades.

This was made possible thanks to Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Sukau candidate Dato’ Juhari Janan, who collaborated with the Sabah Native Affairs Council.

The residents were overjoyed, especially those who had waited for two generations to own land.

“This proves that the GRS government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, has never failed in serving the people,” said Juhari, who is involved in a seven-cornered contest in this 17th Sabah election.

He added that the Chief Minister has always cared deeply about the wellbeing of the people, and that land ownership is one of the key ways to improve their lives.

Juhari also said that the GRS government remains committed to helping rural communities gain access to land, which is vital for building a better future and strengthening local development.

Also present were District Chief Ramsah Jakaria and representatives from the GRS Sukau division.
