KOTA KINABALU: Pakatan Harapan (PH) expressed confidence of retaining the seats won in the previous election including in Luyang and Likas.
“Yes, of course. We have done our best. We campaigned wholeheartedly,” said PH Likas candidate Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe after casting his ballot at Kota Kinabalu High School here.
The Sabah DAP chief who had moved from Luyang which he represented for two terms to Likas is involved in a six cornered fight in the 17th Sabah polls.
“I believe that with my track record over the past seven years as the state assemblyman for Luyang, and also in Kota Kinabalu as the Minister of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship, I have done my best and served wholeheartedly for the people of Sabah.
“So, I feel this will give strong confidence to me and my team, whom I lead for Sabah, and Pakatan Harapan will see a good result.
“I am confident that the people of Sabah will make the right and best choice in selecting a leader who works sincerely to serve,” said Phoong.
