KOTA KINABALU: DAP–Pakatan Harapan (PH) Kapayan candidate Datuk Jannie Lasimbang has urged voters to elect leaders who are capable, hardworking and committed to addressing Sabah’s long-standing issues.

Speaking during a campaign event, Jannie said Sabah’s progress depends on having strong and effective representatives in every constituency.

“We need good leaders in every area. If we only have one good leader at the top but the rest are weak, Sabah will not move forward,” she said.

Jannie, who is defending the Kapayan seat in a 13-cornered contest, emphasised that the state requires a team of competent lawmakers to deliver meaningful development.

“We must elect leaders who know how to work, who understand the problems faced by our communities, and who can provide solutions. Only then can Sabah progress,” she said.

She added that the strength of a government relies on the collective calibre of its elected representatives, not on the efforts of a few individuals.

“One person may walk fast, but a team walks far. We must choose leaders who are prepared to serve and solve Sabah’s issues,” she said, calling for continued support for Pakatan Harapan candidates.

Jannie said PH is committed to ensuring inclusive development and better governance for Sabah, with a focus on local needs and strengthening state representation.
